What is ulnar nerve entrapment?

Ulnar nerve entrapment occurs when there is too much pressure on the ulnar nerve, commonly at the elbow or the wrist.

What are common symptoms of ulnar neuropathy?

Symptoms include numbness in the hand, tingling in the forearm and pinky side of the hand, pain, and muscle weakness or atrophy.

The ulnar nerve can become entrapped at the elbow or the wrist, leading to ulnar neuropathy.

Ulnar nerve entrapment is usually caused by direct pressure, repetitive motion, trauma, or swelling in the elbow or wrist areas.

Treatment may include rest, splinting, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and in some cases, surgical intervention.
