COVID-19 UPDATE: Telemedicine Appointments
New York Hand Surgery is now offering telemedicine services to minimize exposure for our patients and staff. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every person in some way and we understand that it has resulting in disruptions to our patients’ daily schedules, childcare, work schedule etc- therefore Dr. Patel will be making himself available via telemedicine visits on Evenings and Saturdays, in addition to daytime hours.
Telemedicine is the use of communication technology to deliver medical expertise from one location to another for healthcare treatments. It includes email, 2-way video, smartphones and other forms of telecommunication. Telemedicine can be a viable solution to diagnose and treat some Orthopedic conditions during the COVID-19 crisis. We are also offering in-office appointments for emergencies and acute injuries.
Telemedicine is cost-effective, convenient way for us to continuing offering care to our patients and will be covered by most insurances. Dr. Patel can review your imaging studies, MRI or radiographs remotely and help determine the right solution for improving your condition.
